I missed yesterday, but only because I was at a volleyball tounrnament with Emily!! She did great and so did her team! They are such a great group of girls that love eachother and encourage eachother! They played 4 matches , best 2 out of 3 games each match! They won 2 of their matches pushing them both to 3 games! They even beat a 16 YO team so that was pretty awesome!! I am so proud of all of them and really proud of Emily who had a few kills and a ton of very awesome serves, even one ACE serve!
The place in which they played is amazingly crazy! There are 10 volleyball courts and they are squeezed together in this warehouse that is freezing cold(because how do you heat a huge warehouse)! You really need your own camp chairs and they have to be almost on the line, is crowded and very loud so ear plugs are a good thing have and of course blankets are a must! You may only take water in, no outside food allowed! They do sell food and drinks for crazy prices I refuse to pay, so everyone takes food with them and go out to thier cars to eat! Good thing the sun was shining yesterday so we were not too cold out there sitting in our car eating lunch...LOL! Good thing is they play in all different places so the next tournament could be somewhere else that lets you take food in! All in all it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be and I only got hit once with a wayward ball(luckily in the arm not the head)! LOL
Emily loves volleyball so much and can't wait for practices each week and when tournaments come up she gets so excited that she can't sleep, I am so gald she is having such a great time with volleyball and making great friends doing it! Her coach is awesome too....a BYU player! :o)
I am not sure where Emily's team has placed but when I find out I will post that here for you all to see! I am hoping they ahve moved up from 36th...we will see!!
I am proud of myself for coming and posting here every morning and hope things get more excited for you all...my writing seems boring to me! LOL I also might have some pictures to post here soon, need to get them on the computer first...give me a few days! ;o)
