Memorial Day 2011

We got up so early and were on the road to Roosevelt/Vernal by 6:30am for a day of fun and love with Brandon, Felisha and Tyler! The drive was fun and no fighting was going on so I was a happy mom! The kids thought it was too long, I am so glad we did not have any farther to go! LOL

Brandon and Felisha were pretty excited to see the kids and have them meet Tyler for the 1st time. It's so weird to hear people call my children Aunts and Uncle but I love it too! Tyler is so cute and starting to get chunky. He is a good baby and loves to be held close which is all good for this grandma(again weird to be called that but it is the best thing ever!) He is the most perfect baby and my arms ache to hold him again...hopefully soon! They are wanting to have blessed on the 12th of June and that is in just a couple of weeks!

We took everyone to The Utah Field House of Natural History and learned about Utah minerals and fossils and dinosaurs(the best part). The price was good and it was fun. I wish kids took more time to read about what they were seeing, I want to go back and learn more!

We were going to have a hike and picnic, but the weather was too cold and windy. So we went back to Brandon's place and ate lunch there. The rest of the afternoon we hung out and held the baby and took pictures! Then it was time to give Tyler back and say good-bye....the hardest part of our trip!

Tony took a detour at Starvation Reservoir. WOW what a beautiful place that is! We went exploring and the kids loved it so much. I think we found some good camping spots for this summer. We also discovered a lot of other day trips we can take up there. Looks like we will be seeing more of Brandon and his little family this summer! YAY US! It did get too windy and cold for me out there by the water but none the less I had a great time and loved watching my kids get excited about this adventure and want to explore this beautiful earth. Looking out over the water I felt very blessed to be able to see such beauty and grateful for all the things I have.
